Three Premier San Diego Studios Now Offering Exclusive PPSDC Member Discounts

Professional Photographers of San Diego County (PPSDC) is pleased to welcome three new partner studios offering exclusive discounts to PPSDC members. These studios—3SG Studio in El Cajon, Skylight Studios in San Diego, The Saltbox Studio in La Mesa. They offer versatile spaces designed to meet the needs of professional photographers across San Diego County.

Each location provides unique features for both photography and video production, with professional lighting setups, makeup and wardrobe areas, and convenient amenities that make every session run smoothly. From large cyclorama walls and natural light options to thoughtful workspace design and client-ready environments, these studios help elevate the quality and efficiency of every project.

3SD STUDIO IN EL CAJON PROVIDES PROPS AND SETS FOR ALL PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS

3SG Studio: A Dynamic, All-Inclusive Space for Photographers & Videography

In East County, 3SG Studio in El Cajon provides a 1,000-square-foot photography and video studio ideal for a wide range of creative projects. The studio is equipped with professional strobe and continuous lighting, including seven Alien Bees 800 strobes, softboxes, and RGB ceiling lights that can be set to any color or synced with sound for motion effects.

With over 25 unique backdrops, plus a cyclorama/infinity wall, and the largest assortment of props and furniture we have seen so far, 3SG offers flexibility for portrait sessions, branding shoots, and commercial work. The space also includes a dressing room, kitchenette, Wi-Fi, and on-site parking, all within a wheelchair-accessible facility.

The Saltbox Studio: Creative Comfort and Production Precision

Tucked in the heart of La Mesa, The Saltbox Studio offers a comfortable and highly functional space tailored for photographers, content creators, and production teams. Every detail has been designed for convenience and productivity.

The studio includes a fully equipped grip package with C-stands, sandbags, apple boxes, and V-flats, as well as a dedicated hair and makeup station with daylight-balanced lighting. A commercial sink, conference table, and ample seating make the space adaptable for a range of projects.

Guests enjoy thoughtful touches, including complimentary coffee and water, a TV with Apple AirPlay, a wardrobe area with racks and a Jiffy steamer, and a printer/scanner for on-site needs.

Softbox Studio is offering 10% with a three hour minimum. Call and ask for Justin for more details.

Sky Light Studio - San Diego

Skylight Studios: Where Light, Space, and Flexibility Meet

Located in central San Diego, Skylight Studios is one of the city’s most versatile production environments for both photography and video. It features the largest white cyclorama in San Diego (20x30 feet), a 12x12-foot grey cyclorama, and a range of interchangeable paper backdrops for total creative flexibility.

The studio’s natural light from the skylight and roll-up door can be fully controlled using blackout curtains. For larger productions, drive-in access makes load-in simple, even for vehicles or oversized equipment. Inside, clients and teams can enjoy a stylish lobby, private green room, sound system, and air-conditioned comfort throughout.
