Janet Bark., CPP - President

Janet Bark is an Award Winning Certified Professional Photographer through the Professional Photographers of America. She is the current President of The Professional Photographers of San Diego County, and was awarded Senior Portrait Photographer of the Year for 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. She was also awarded Photographer of the Year for 2019. She attends workshops and seminars regularly, always striving to be at the top of her game.

Luci Dumas - Chairman

Luci has been awarded Degrees include PPA Master of Photography and PPA Photographic Craftsman, Professional Photographers of California Fellowship DegreeI started my photography career in San Diego, California in 1982 after many years pursuing photography as an art. My business has always been out of my home because the commute (upstairs to downstairs)is ideal. And clients seem very comfortable coming to my historical South Park neighborhood and my charming 1911 bungalow. For children it feels like “Aunt Luci’s House”.

Monique Hoppe- 1st VP Programs

Monique Hoppe is a professional portrait photographer based in Carlsbad, California, creating powerful, editorial style portraits since 2017. She specializes in headshots, personal branding, boudoir, and women’s empowerment sessions —crafting an experience that make her clients feel confident, seen, and celebrated. Beyond serving her own clients, Monique is passionate about supporting other photographers. She openly shares her knowledge of lighting, posing, and business, helping others grow in their craft and succeed in their creative journeys.

Kat De Laet - 2nd VP Image Comp & Secretary

Kat De Laet is a Belgian-raised pet and family photographer with over 100 international awards and recognitions. A dedicated crazy cat lady sharing her home with three felines, she combines her passion for animals with her volunteer work at the Humane Society to create epic, heartfelt portraits that capture what truly counts: the authentic bond between pets and their people.

Capturing tomorrow’s memories today. With a flair for the dramatic, Ken likes doing portraits that look more like a Super Hero Movie poster than your typical photo on the beach. He also likes making images of super cars and bikes.

Lourdes Laparra is a North County San Diego–based portrait and event photographer. Photographing professionally since 2018, she specializes in creating meaningful family imagery intended to be preserved and valued across generations. Lourdes believes that understanding who we are and where we come from begins with family photographs that tell our story. She is deeply committed to continuous learning and professional growth in order to provide exceptional service to her current and future clients.

Oliver Asis - Marketing

Oliver is an award-winning photographer. He specializes in wedding, event, landscape, and architecture photography. He has been a professional photographer for over 18 years. He enjoys capturing the serendipitous moments with color, energy, and precision. Additionally, Oliver has served as a photography judge at the San Diego County Fair for several years, and he is also a past president of PPSDC.
