Professional Photographers of San Diego County is proud to introduce the 2026 Board of Directors—an inspiring team of photographers, educators, artists, and community-builders who are stepping forward to lead our organization into a new year of creativity, connection, and growth. Each board member brings a unique strength and specialty to PPSDC, but all share the same heartbeat: to uplift photographers across San Diego County and create a place where learning, artistry, and belonging thrive.
Below, we are honored to spotlight the photographers who will guide PPSDC through the coming year.
Janet Bark leads PPSDC as President with a clear vision and a deep commitment to community. A respected San Diego portrait photographer, Janet specializes in families, seniors, and professional branding imagery. Her warm, intuitive approach allows her clients to feel seen, valued, and confident in front of the camera. As President, she brings thoughtful leadership, creativity, and a welcoming spirit to PPSDC.
Master Photographer Luci Dumas steps into the role of Chairman, offering the board her decades of experience, wisdom, and steadfast dedication to the craft. Luci is celebrated for her fine-art children’s and family portraits as well as her influential mentorship of photographers nationwide. Her steady leadership and heart for education help guide PPSDC’s long-term direction and uphold the integrity of the organization.
Monique Hoppe**
As 1st VP of Programs, Monique Hoppe curates dynamic educational opportunities designed to inspire and stretch photographers of all genres. Monique is known for her dramatic, fashion-inspired fine-art portraiture and empowering branding sessions. Her dedication to excellence ensures PPSDC will continue offering innovative, artistically enriching programs throughout the year.
Ekaterina “Kat” De Laet**
Ekaterina “Kat” De Laet serves as 2nd VP of Image Competition, bringing her award-winning creativity and technical expertise to one of PPSDC’s most important pillars. Kat specializes in pets, children, and imaginative digital artistry. Her keen eye for storytelling and her enthusiasm for photographic excellence support members as they grow through competition.
In addition to her role in Image Competition, Kat also serves as Secretary for the 2026 Board. Her professionalism, organization, and dedication ensure the smooth and accurate functioning of PPSDC’s administrative processes.
The Treasurer position is currently open. Members interested in supporting PPSDC through financial stewardship are encouraged to reach out. This is a vital role within the organization and an excellent leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys structure, clarity, and organizational service.
Photographer and filmmaker Oliver Asis leads Marketing with his cinematic eye and passion for visual storytelling. Known for his landscape, adventure, and architectural work, Oliver brings fresh energy and creativity to PPSDC’s visual presence, outreach, and engagement.
Hospitality is led jointly by Karen Floyd and Lourdes Laparra, two photographers known for their warmth, community spirit, and ability to help others feel welcome and supported.
Karen specializes in elegant portraiture and empowering women over 50 through guided, confidence-building sessions.
Lourdes, owner of The SoftBox Portrait Photography, brings her experience in portraits, quinceañeras, and elopements, along with her genuine care for people.
Together, they create an environment where members and guests feel at home the moment they walk through the door.
Newborn and family photographer Rosanna Barr-Wampach leads Membership with her heart for families and community connection. Known for her beautiful newborn portraiture and magical digital-art composites, Rosanna brings warmth, attentiveness, and a welcoming presence to every interaction with new and returning members.
As Editor, Ken Hofheinz oversees PPSDC’s written communications and helps keep members informed and inspired. His attention to detail and commitment to clarity support the organization’s ongoing communication efforts.
The Webmaster position is currently open. This role is essential to maintaining and improving PPSDC’s online presence. Members with web experience—or a desire to contribute to the digital future of PPSDC—are invited to inquire.
This incoming board takes the reins on January 1, 2026. They represent a powerful blend of experience, artistry, and service-minded leadership. Together, they will guide PPSDC into a year filled with inspiring programs, meaningful connection, and the continued pursuit of photographic excellence.
